(Seattle, WA) Odd as it may be, Seattle scored 22 runs and allowed no runs which is their exact record, 22-0. Von Jenkins and David Ortiz were on fire as well as Erik Bedard on the mound. A complete disaster for the Royals as they do not even show up in this game. Zach Greinke didn't even last through the first inning with Varitek and Ortiz both taking his pitch out of the park.

(Memphis, TN) Under new head coach, Von Jenkins, Memphis gets a win in dominate fashion. Yes, it was against an FCS school, but the execution was very good minus two poor decisions that led to interceptions. Memphis ran the ball well and played decent defense. Hunter Brooks and Jarrel Rhodes combined for over 200 yards rushing with 3 touchdowns.

(University Park, PA) Penn State beats another top tier PAC-12 team in Oregon, who was #4 last week. After a failed fourth down in the first quarter on their half of the field, Penn State intercepted Bryan Bennett in the end zone. The Nittany Lions were very fortunate the failed fourth down conversion didn't blow up in their face. Silas Redd ran for over 100 yards and Matt McGloin another stellar performance with 4 touchdown passes. Oregon moved the ball well on Penn State, but stalled and forfeited points.
Penn State will play Missouri next week. Missouri, under new head coach Artorias, knocked off Michigan in week 1. "It'll be a dogfight. We are ready for them. I know his kids will be ready to give us their best shot. But they better know, our kids will give it right back to them," Coach Jenkins tells ESPN College Football Live.

(Los Angeles, CA) Matt Barkley's first pass of the 2012 season ended with a defensive touchdown. Von Jenkins and Penn State took advantage of the interception and the momentum carried them to the finish. "My staff and I are determined to get Penn State Football back to were it belongs. Winning," Coach Jenkins tells media. USC had some great big plays. However, the Penn State bend but don't break defense held the Trojans.

Due to the stagnation of other dynasties, Von Jenkins will start an offline dynasty and take his talents to....the Maryland Terrapins and their ultra hot uniforms.
The Seattle Times interview with Mariners' center fielder, Von Jenkins.
ST: How would you describe the season you are having?
VJ: It's early to say a whole lot. We've barely played 20 games. I have swung the bat well.
ST: Seriously?!? 18 home runs in 21 games puts you at a pace to obliterate the home run record for a season.
VJ: Like I said, it's still too early to say anything. Yeah, I am seeing the ball well. Yeah, I am making pitchers pay the price if they give me a pitch I want.
ST: Ok. What about the recent roster moves Seattle has made?
VJ: I am more than excited to have Ken Griffey Jr on a team I play for. I loved watching him when I was younger and really tried to model a bit of my game after him. Russell Branyan leaving was a bit of a shock considering his stats.
ST: There were talks Branyan was jealous of you and wanted to be the face of a franchise here in Seattle or somewhere else.
VJ: I don't know. Me and him were cool. He didn't seem to have any ill feelings toward me. I wish him well with the Padres.
ST: What about Ichiro?
VJ: I was pretty upset with upper management when I heard. It was like out of nowhere the Mariners made the trade with Boston. I only heard the news from Sportscenter. Ichiro really helped improve my game in a few areas. I had bonded with him quite well and I wish him the best.
ST: Do you feel any pressure with this tremendous start for yourself and the team?
VJ: Not really. Winning really isn't something this area is accustomed to. They've never won a World Series. Heck, I'm not sure they've even competed in a World Series. Me and my teammates are just out there executing the game plan set before us. No reason to be nervous or feel any pressure.
ST: Favorite place to eat in Seattle?
VJ: McDonald's! (laughing) Love me a 20-piece McNugget with Sweet-n-Sour sauce!

(Kansas City, MO) The headlines should be how incredible the winning streak is of the Seattle Mariners. However, many people are outraged by Gil Meche nailed David Ortiz not once, but twice with the baseball. Ortiz not making a big deal about it just took his base. It seemed he didn't want to ruin his Mariner debut. "I'm starting to think some of our players have a bounty on their head. Other (MLB) players are jealous for the success we are having and are willing to destroy us at any cost." Von Jenkins told the Kansas City Star.
Ken Griffey Jr. looked good in his return to Seattle, 3 for 5 with a double and two RBIs.

Apparently, there is a lot of buzz going around Seattle from comments by Ken Griffey Jr saying he wants to take down Bonds career home run record. That would be an almost impossible task for him considering his age. He would have to hit 133 homers to take the top spot.

(Knoxville, TN) It was apparent that Alabama was a no show and a complete meltdown. Bama's defense looked confused and AJ McCarron under prepared. It was something you had to see to believe as Tennessee put a whopping on Alabama. This was a huge win for the Vols showing the program is definitely going in the right direction. Many recruits visited and were impressed with the facilities and Coach Hulsizer.
